Get Born è l’album di debutto in studio della rock band australiana Jet. È stato pubblicato il 14 settembre 2003 e ha venduto milioni di copie in tutto il mondo, entrando nella storia della musica internazionale. Esattamente 21 anni dopo, il 14 settembre del 2024, l’Estádio Municipal di Leiria, in Portogallo, ospiterà il concerto di Rockin’1000 con la speciale partecipazione di Nic Cester dei Jet e in scaletta ci sarà l’importante tributo per celebrare l’anniversario di questo importante  album.

Nic Cester, vero nome Nicholas John Cester (Melbourne, 6 luglio 1979), cantautore e chitarrista australiano, frontman, insieme al fratello Chris, del gruppo musicale rock Jet, suonerà con i 1000 musicisti di Rockin’1000 l’iconico brano ‘Are You Gonna Be My Girl’ davanti a 20.000 spettatori!

“Abbiamo già collaborato con Nic per la composizione del nostro singolo ‘How We Roll’ ed è scattata da subito un’intesa che va oltre la musica. Averlo in concerto con noi è un grande regalo, sono sicuro che la resa di Are You Gonna Be My Girl in mille sarà esplosiva” – ha dichiarato Fabio Zaffagnini, Fondatore di Rockin’1000.

Con oltre l’80% dei biglietti già venduti, lo stadio è pronto a riempirsi di fan, creando un’atmosfera elettrizzante. Dopo la conferma di Pedro Abrunhos, famoso cantante e compositore portoghese come ospite speciale, il progetto ora annuncia una star internazionale: Nic Cester, cantante dell’iconica band australiana JET.

Get Born is the debut studio album by the Australian rock band Jet. It was released on September 14, 2003, and has sold millions of copies worldwide, making its mark on international music history. Propelled by the single “Are You Gonna Be My Girl,” the album quickly climbed the global charts, surpassing 6 million sales and earning Platinum status in the UK.

Exactly 21 years later, on September 14, 2024, the Estádio Municipal in Leiria, Portugal, will host the Rockin’1000 concert with the special participation of Nic Cester from JET, featuring a significant tribute to celebrate the anniversary of this landmark album.

Nic Cester, whose real name is Nicholas John Cester (Melbourne, July 6, 1979), is an Australian singer-songwriter and guitarist, and the frontman of the rock band Jet alongside his brother Chris. He will perform the iconic track “Are You Gonna Be My Girl” with the 1000 musicians of Rockin’1000 in front of 20,000 spectators!
